HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
Fill out the
Entry Form and submit a videotape telling us your name and explaining and demonstrating why you think you're the best cook in the kitchen. Show us your kitchen skills, as well as your personality, and be creative! Only one submission per household.
Please note that submitted videos will not be returned and will become property of the television program Rachael Ray (the "Show").
Please submit your videotape AND a hardcopy of the completed Entry Form to:
"Rachael Ray" - So You Think You Can Cook
132 E. 43rd St.
P.O. Box 543
New York, NY 10017
Missing, incomplete or illegible Entry Forms shall result in disqualification.
HOW IT WORKS:
Show producers will review and judge all properly submitted videotapes based on your skills, creativity and personality and will choose the top 5 entries. These 5 finalists will be notified by the Show and flown to our NYC studio to participate in our "So You Think You Can Cook" Show-Down. (Finalists need to be available to participate in the Show-Down from October 5 through October 19, 2007. Inability to attend will result in disqualification and replacement by the next best entrant.) The finalists will compete in a series of surprise kitchen-related challenges. Each challenge will be judged by one or more culinary professionals. After each challenge, the finalist judged to be the weakest will be eliminated and sent home. The last cook left standing after 4 different challenges wins!
PRIZES:
The Winner will have one of their best recipes published in a future issue of "Everyday with Rachael Ray" magazine! (Recipe to be chosen by Show producers and magazine publisher.) You'll get to come back to the Show for your own cooking segment designed by our producers and Rachael Ray will be YOUR assistant! Finally, the Show will send you to the prestigious Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York for a 5 day intensive cooking program where you will be able to sharpen your cooking skills -- a value worth almost $4000, including roundtrip coach airfare, overnight accomodations, car rental, and dinner for 5 days and nights. (Costs not listed here shall be borne by the participant.)
